Distance from Kampala: approx. 430 km / 7 hours driving The natural beauty in Queen Elizabeth National Park is overwhelming and diverse: green savannah plains with small acacia and euphorbia trees are varied with sunken crater lakes and swamps. The park is home to 95 types of mammals, including Uganda Kobs, lions, elephants and forest hog, with a bird list of over 700 species, it has the highest number of bird species found in any national park in Africa. The shores of the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George, encounter large herds of hippopotamus and crocodiles.
